Just as with food, we've noticed a surge in interest from customers regarding the history of what we're drinking and where it's sourced from. The Grocer Seasonal Newsletter provides this information about our food and now we're launching a Wine Newsletter to do the same for our wines.
This email only newsletter will include detailed information about grape varieties, wine regions, producers and different vintages. We'll also be able to keep you informed of upcoming events such as master classes, tastings and wine dinners.

New Products
Doodles Creek Mayonnaises
Doodles Creek allows you to enjoy the great flavour of deliciously thick and creamy home made mayonnaise without the fuss of making it yourself. Only quality ingredients are used to make the products and for the mayonnaise include; whole eggs, egg yolks, Dijon mustard, sunflower oil, lemon juice and white wine vinegar.
The mayonnaises are thickened traditionally with egg yolks not gums or emulsifying agents. The salad dressings are also made naturally without water, thickeners or preservatives.
Our favourite is the chilli, lime and coriander mayonnaise - it does amazing things to vegetable crudités.
(Real) Hot Choc
Made from real Belgian chocolate, this hot chocolate is as pure as it gets. Simply heat your milk up and add a handful of the tiny chocolate drops, stir and enjoy. If you like your hot chocolate a little more exotic, add a pinch of chilli powder along with some cinnamon. It comes in a dark or milk version.
Organic West Australian Cheese
Over The Moon Fetta
In 2007 construction was completed on the only organic farm in WA (and only the 2nd in Australia) where cows are milked to make hand-crafted organic cheeses on site.
The fetta is hand made by placing the curds into a mould and letting them drain for two days before being placed in a salted brine for two weeks to mature. The result is a soft, creamy fetta with a complex 'mineraly' flavour. Great for use in salads, on pizzas, paired with roast vegetables or simply on its own.
New Grocer Products
As you know The Grocer packages a number of hard to find ingredients into convenient sizes for you to use at home. We've just added three new items to the collection:
Organic Quinoa - pronounced 'keen-wa', this is an ancient seed (similar to a grain) that is very high in protein. It has a nutty, slightly creamy flavour and can be served like rice or couscous.
Whole Nutmeg - indispensable when making a white sauce and best when freshly ground we found it hard to get at our local supermarket. So we packaged it up into 50g resealable bags for you to use on your next lasagne.
Juniper Berries - the recent popularity of preserving at home has meant we've been inundated with requests for this old fashioned favourite. Available in 50g re-sealable bags.
