Barbera d'Asti DOC Montebruna
Product by: Braida
The Barbera d'Asti Montebruna is made from 100% Barbera grapes grown in various vineyards near the commune of Rocchetta Tanaro. The different terroirs of the Montebruna hillside contribute their own unique characters to the wine, with high vine-density and low yields as common denominator for outstanding quality.
Vinification
All grapes are fermented in steel tubs for 2 to 3 weeks with regular pumping over and gradual drainage of juice. The malolactic fermentation and fining take place in large wooden botti for 6 months. After bottling the wine is fined for another 3 months before release.
Tasting Note
This ruby coloured wine shows intense aromas of ripe cherries, plums, raspberries and traces of sweet vanilla. Succulent red fruits, fresh acidity and a hint of salty minerals shape the well-balanced, refined and persistent palate.
Food Matches
