Adami
The history of the house of Adami goes back to
1920 when Abele Adami bought the Bosco di Gica vineyard. Located in
Colbertaldo di Vidor on the south facing pre-Alpine slopes of the
Marca Trevigiana, this vineyard is the jewel in the crown of
the family owned estate. The cooling air from the sheltering
Dolomites in the north and the proximity of the warming Adriatic in
the east are the natural prerequisites for high quality Spumante,
in the case of Adami complemented by meticulous vineyard practices
and state-of-the-art winemaking. This results in a house-style in
which the exquisite and natural balance between the round fruit
characters and acidity of the grapes is directly translated into
the wine.
Under the guidance of Abele's grandchildren Amando and Franco, Adami has become one of the leading producers of the DOC. The extensive range now includes the two crus Vigneto Giardino and Cartizze, the estate's top wines and undisputable benchmarks for the whole region. The richly concentrated, dry, delicate and pure Bosco di Gica closely follows, offering a wine suited to a wide variety of fish and seafood dishes while the Garbel is fantastic as an aperitif. http://www.adamispumante.it/
