Since its foundation in 1824, the six generations at Agricola Fratelli Tedeschi have steadily expanded their empire. Purchases of distinguished vineyards such as Monte Fontana and Monte Olmi, the development of a unique style and the promotion of their wines on both domestic and international markets have brought the estate world-wide recognition.

The cornerstone of success is laid by the 67 hectares of vineyards where the traditional Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara vines are cultivated with the greatest care. These varieties are used to craft the estate's extensive portfolio of wines including the dramatically concentrated Amarone della Valpolicella Capitel Monte Olmi and the sweet Recioto della Valpolicella Capitel Monte Fontana, both from the vineyards mentioned above. Because these remarkable wines are made from extremely low yielding vines, volume and value is to be found in the range of Valpolicella wines headed by the Valpolicella Classico Superiore and complemented by the Ripasso Capitel San Rocco. Made according to the appassimento method, the Valpolicella Classico Superiore of the latter is passed over the marc from newly fermented Amarone and Recioto, triggering another fermentation that enhances aromas, flavours and structure.

The enormous success of the solid base of wines allows the new generation to look further into the future. Continuous search for excellence has resulted in research, experimentation, a move to green and sustainable vineyard practices and, completely in line with the family tradition, the acquisition of 30 hectares of vineyards within the Valpolicella DOC in 2006.
