A passion for wine along with the natural affinity good wine has with good food led The Grocer to put together a portfolio of fine Italian wine in 2006. Using the same philosophy used to select the food, the wines chosen are made by high quality small producers who are passionate about creating an amazing product.

We believe we've selected the best each Italian region has to offer from house wines to super premium aged wines. The diverse range of styles includes Amarone, Barolo, Barbaresco, and Chianti Classico, with grape varieties such as nebbiolo, sangiovese., corvina, aglianico, garganega and verdicchio.

The most recent addition to the range comes from the family owned premium New Zealand producer Te Mania. Their multi award winning pinot noir and chardonnay along with their sauvignon blanc and riesling are a great compliment to the portfolio.

All of our wines are stored in a dedicated temperature and humidity controlled warehouse with our aged premium wines having been transported and stored in ideal conditions since leaving the winery.

Buying Wine Direct

As wholesale distributors of wine we are, under limited conditions, able to sell wine directly to the public by the case.

To give you access to a variety of the wines we are bringing to WA, we have put together 6 mixed cases showcasing our best wines. Apart from the Sauvignon Blanc Case, each case contains 6 different wines (2 bottles of each) and you can choose from the following cases:

Italian Bubbles

This case includes all the great styles of Italian sparkling wines including Moscato, Prosecco, and a Brachetto which is a unique, slightly sweet sparkling rose. Also included is Italy's greatest methode champenoise, Berlucchi. Just the perfect combination to get you through your Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Italian Summer Whites

With a Mediterranean climate most Italian whites are designed to be light, crisp and dry. This collection is no exception and includes some of Italy's most well known white wines. With a similar climate and our love of Italian foods these wines are a perfect match for Perth's summer. Enjoy with seafood, char-grilled meats and summer salads.

The Sauvignon Blanc Case

Sauvignon Blanc is currently Australia's biggest selling white wine variety. This Sauvignon Blanc from Nelson, New Zealand is made by the family owned, award winning winery Te Mania. This is the classic New Zealand style - crisp, dry, un-oaked with flavours of citrus, gooseberry and tropical fruit.

The Summer Siesta Case

Made up of six white and six red wines, this case contains a mixture of New Zealand and Italian wines which are perfectly suited to long lunches by the pool, picnics at the beach or bbq's with friends and family. The whites are crisp and dry and the reds are light and well suited to summer food.

Essential Italian Reds

The six wines in this case are all quite different and are a great introduction to Italian reds. Many are made using modern methods, making them fruit driven similar to some Australian reds, while others are made using traditional methods and are better matched with food. These are great examples of Italian reds which can be enjoyed every day on their own or with pasta or pizza.

Premium Italian Reds

This case contains a wide variety of Italy's best wine styles from the diverse regions of Piedmonte, Valpolichella, Friuli, Tuscany and Abruzzo. Take a trip around Italy this Christmas and discover some new wines to add to your list of favourites.

Super Premium Italian Reds

Here's an opportunity to try some of Italy's greatest and most famous red wines. From Barolo and Barbaresco to Chianti Classico these are the best examples of Italy's most famous wine growing regions.
