Tarago River Blue Orchid (av:1.8kg)

Situated in Victoria’s Gippsland region, Tarago River Cheese is a joint venture between two local farming families, the Jensens and the Johnsons. Together they are pioneers of Australian artisan cheese making, creating Australia’s first commercially available blue and white mould cheeses.

Tarago River’s original farm cheese creation first made in 1983. Made from whole milk and cellared underground in cave like conditions at 4°C for 10 to 12 weeks prior to sale. Styled on Gorgonzola Dolce, Tarago River import the cultures directly from Italy, and the rind formation over its cellaring life is an amazing work of nature.
